What a great town with lots of places to eat, we recommend the diner and the steak house. Done. If you have your own bike, one great option is to have them shuttle your car to your finishing point. Much of the best scenery sits between these two points, and Blackwell is a great jumping-off point to head to your next destination. There are motels on Rt 6 just west of there. Really nice trail. And I would do it again! Here you will pass the Turkey path, a hiking trail that winds its way to the top of the canyon, to the Leonard Harrison State park lookout area. Order a hard copy. The far end of this bridge on the Cowboy Trail near Neligh was washed away in the 2019 "bomb cyclone" flooding. Good parking and bathroom facilities. The Cedar Run Inn is a nice B&B, clean and comfortable. From there, it runs generally southward through the Pine Creek Valley (better known locally as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania). There are several gates on the trail to ride around, but the trail itself is so impressive that the gates did not deter from a great scenic ride. Rode one way from Wellsboro to Jersey Shore. This is a real gem in Pennsylvania and is a heck of a product turned out by the Rails to Trails program. From the Ansonia access area to Tiadaghton, horse riders can use the dirt road that travels along side of the rail trail. The elevation at Jersey Shore is 655, Slate Run 715, Blackwell 875, Tiadaghton 1150 and the Wellsboro trail head is 1195. so there is not much of a grade on your trip north.
